fst06stg's 2006 Legend Lime GT Coupe

"Henry" is a 2006 Mustang GT coupe I ordered back in September of 2005 and didn't get delivered until February 2006.  I decided on Legend Lime because it just looked like it belonged on the car.  I'd seen a few '05 Mustangs in red and black but I didn't want an everyday color.  I saw Legend Lime and it was obvious that it was the color for me.  I've received several compliments as well as a few critics, but what do they know.  I couldn't be happier with it and the 4 month wait was well worth it.  Mods include eibach pro-kit springs, painted hood and spoiler, Flowmaster Super 40 Series mufflers, Jim (jadeuel) made me some awesome appliques to go on my visors over the airbag warnings, dash badge, cervini's window and side scoops, rear window louvers, rear blackout panel and 18'' black Bullitt wheels, and rear window louvers.

fst06stg, Yancey comes to us from the Oklahoma Chapter of the LLR...or as I call it "The Oklahoma Triangle". He lives in Wann, OK about an hour and a half north of Tulsa, well probably 45 minutes by his Stang (oh yeah you all know what I'm talking about). Yancey calls his car Henry after the one who started it all...Henry Ford who said "you can have your car any color you want as long as it is black"...You've come a long way Henry. It wouldn't be a very interesting world with 400 Black car registries. Yancey ordered his car in September of 05 and then began the Agonizing 5 month wait till he received it in February 06, but turning that key the first time and seeing 13 on the Odometer made the last 5 months go away as this was his first new car. While he waited he lurked around the pages of LLR waiting for the day he could make his affiliation official. Yancey found the LLR the same way I did, Google search for Legend Lime finding woodj's car and linking in from there. Probably realizing with much surprise there was a whole website devoted to this craziness.

Yancey chose Legend Lime not knowing the color had history just because he wanted something different, and it looked like the car was made for the color. His favorite mod is the Black Bullitt wheels, and plans to throw on some rear window louvers and a California dreamin hood. Once his warranty is no longer a concern the fun begins under the hood. Henry's current mileage is around 10K being a true Daily Driver. He recalls the most memorable comment about the color of his car was being asked what color it was, upon responding the gentleman said, that it was a pretty color...now slow it down. Then the patrolman completed his stop.

Yancey has attended the 2006 Tulsa meet, and the mini meet at TMS and done several regional meets with the OK Crew including getting front page newspaper coverage at a car show in Coffeyville. Keep up the good LLR representing. He is trying to make his way to the Vegas meet in September. He loves the opportunity to meet with his LLR brothers and sisters he says "I have made many friends that go deeper than the LLR". Yancey has also brought his Dad (Richard...RJ74083) to the LLR lending some great painting advice with our beloved P1. Thanks for all the help Yancey and Dad...as Yancey says, "This is a Great Place".
