Memorial Day 2015. 10th Anniversary Eureka
Ok this group is going into ten years of friendship. Since we have celebrated with a good car count in the past in Eureka Springs along with the way the organizers and communitys always treating Green car folk well I think we should try to get a group from different locals to try and make this 10th a big deal somewhere. I like Eureka because of the above . It really would be great to see limers from as many geos as we can.
Keep this going

Robert I will bring a blow up mattress for your bed so it will not be too hard. ;p}

I agree with Bill. We need to start planning for a tenth anniversary of the LLR. What was it, May 5th 2005 for the start of the LLR? It'll be just a couple of weeks an some of our cars will start hitting their tenth birthday.

I had given some other venues a good think.
Carlisle Pa, early June, at the Ford Nationals.
Myrtle Beach SC, third week in July, at Mustang Week.
Asheville NC, early/mid September, at the Pony Run.
But to be honest, I have a soft spot for Eureka Springs. This past year we discussed this with the staff at the hotel and they were very supportive. I thought it was a very nice place and reasonably priced. I didn't swim, but the indoor pool was inviting. Next time I'll have my trunks. Besides I know where the ice cream store is so we can keep Jeff happy.
It's time for some new LLR merchandise too. My LLR POLO shirt is about worn out (size medium). My favorite Tee is the 5th anniversary one with the 3/4 view of the galloping pony, just needs to be updated for the 10th (size large). I need a new LLR ball cap too (unstructured if you please). See, I'm dropping hints for Christmas presents already. What better time for some new stuff than a 10th anniversary.
Back to topic, I agree that a 10th Anniversary at Eureka Springs is a grand idea. We can make it a week long event. I do enjoy some of those rural highways and byways there in the Ozarks. For me, ideal would be Tuesday to Tuesday, so I can miss most of the holiday traffic.
I'll be sure to bring my 12v air compressor. 'Cause except for Tanner, I'm not sure how many of us it would take to blow up Robert's air mattress.

I'm far from everywhere, but my favorite place is Eureka Springs and am planning on making at least one more trip there in May 2015. Other possible locations for me would be Steamboat in June(as I will probably go there again as well) and possibly somewhere in the PNW area. Where ever we plan 10th events I will plan to attend at least one.

Yes. Arkansas.

I think we should have events regionally so that everyone can make at least one of them. There are six regions, so technically we can could organize one in each. Here are some ideas.

North East Region:

Mid Atlantic Region:
All Ford Nationals, Carlisle, PA
Gateway Southern Stampede MCA National Mustang Show, Grovetown, GA
Mustang Week, Myrtle Beach, SC

Gulf Coast Region:
Eureka Springs Car Show Eureka Springs, AR

Great Lakes Region:
Buckeye MCA Grand National Mustang Car Show, Columbus, OH

Plains Region:
Rocky Mountain Roundup, Steamboat Springs, CO
Mustangs with Altitude MCA National Mustang Show, Loveland, CO

Pacific North West Region:
Spirit of the Sun MCA National Mustang Show, Tucson, AZ

Depending on the routing driving time is 24 to 30 hours. I normally take 4 days of leasurely driving to do a little site seeing along the way. My overall plan is to head across Texas to New Mexico after Eureka for a couple weeks and then on to Steamboat Springs for the RMMR in June.

Woo Hoo, I received a car show registration verification number in the mail today. Looks like I'm #21. I would venture to guess that most of the preregistered so far, are the Limers.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, I'm smellin' a road trip.
