Not to change the subject, but O'Meara Ford in Northglenn, CO is advertising a free, yes FREE supercharger on any 2007 GT sold. Sounds like they might have a lot full of 07. They have taken the surcharge off all GT500's.

The gains in HP would be great but at $3.35 per gallon here I think I will pass. |
$3.35? We're paying $4.21 on Long Island

Across the border from San Diego, the gas is about $2.80 a gallon, but like in the states Diesel is ridiculous to the point that they are running out.

I did the same thing at my nearby Ford dealership. They quoted me 57K for the GT500. So then I looked at slightly used ones and I found a few for as low as 40K. We bought our GT for $19,200 with only 4500 miles on it. This is the better way to go; buy a slightly used one. It's a much better value unless you are rolling in cash. Another good way to go that is cheaper than the GT500 is what my boss did with his 2005 GT. He put a Magna Charger on his. God what a huge difference. I can't imagine needing more power than he now has. He says his has 425 HP but it feels like a lot more. A supercharger like this one that has lots of low end torque only costed him 5K. His gas mileage has not changed very much. This is something he installed himself. He has the programmer. I love the way his supercharger whines when he steps on it. I am currently saving money to put one of these on my Mustang. My boss will help me. I can't wait.
