Well, when I was at the dealer getting my cig lighter installed, I went over and checked out the new GT500. Said right on the window sticker base price 26,000 + 20,000 for the Shelby package for a total of only 46,000 +. Then on the front window, they took the 46,000 and then added another 20,000 on top of that and said it was for the Shelby packagefor a total of 66,000+! Charge twice for one package, what a concept! I wonder if there's a sucker in town dumb enough

Seen em around here going 20 to 25k over sticker.
When I was looking for my GT there was a local dealer adding 5k for manual GT's and 3k for the auto ones. Needless to say I didn't bother to buy there, why have to try and deal another 5k off the price.

There is a Silver Convertible Black top GT 500 on Carmax website in Austin Texas for $55,000 says it only has 2K miles, and it looks very nice in pictures. Seems like a pretty good price.

the biggest rip-off of all is the shelby gt and im not talking about the gt500. $42,000 sticker price for what amounts to a few appearance upgrades and not many more horses.

True but your paying more for the Shelby name than for a glorified Mustang GT.

I think ford is losing there bankrupcy status due to recent GM earnings,they are scrambling for any type of help to bolster there postion in the market.With an uncertian economy and elections coming at the end of the year you will probably see some huge discounts on cars and SUV's due to under spending by the weakined economy.As far as new technology they probably don't have much leverage in venture capitol with the huge overstocked supply of unwanted and high % rates for the public.No R&D money means sit on huge inventories and dream of future crummy brainstorming meetings full of caffine and dounts going nowhere. So hang on to your Limers!!!!>>>GM>>>>Ford they kick ya when your down!!!

Around here some dealers have several GT500's in stock. They are willing to sell them for a little above sticker. I have been told if they don't move these cars soon,it is possible that you may see discounts in the near future.

3.00 a gal = 25 mi. 3.50 a gal = 50 mi. 6.00 bucks to go 50 miles on gas, 3.50 bucks to go 50 miles on diesel, or vegetable oil, or used cooking oil. Did I do the math right?

Don't use the cooking oil. They are now finding out the biofuel creates more CO2 than standard fuel.
